2007 Budget

On December 12, 2006, the West Whiteland Township Board of Supervisors approved the 2007 Township Budget. In this balanced budget, the approved General Fund expenditures totaled $10,063,153 and the Sewer Fund expenses totaled $2,347,708.

The 2007 Budget includes no tax increases and no increases in sewer rental fees or trash bag fees. This accomplishment was made possible by the hard work of the Board of Supervisors and staff to effectively utilize available resources. This makes the fifteenth year with no increase in the real estate taxes which have remained at the current 0.6 mill rate since 1992.

Sewer Certification

Please contact Caroline Partridge at 610-363-9525 x 204 if you are selling your home and request a letter of Sewer Certification for you to take to the settlement table. This letter will provide an accurate description of your sewer account. 

Since sewer bills are being mailed semi-annually, the probability that your account is paid in advance of the date of your settlement is very real.  Based upon the Sewer Certification, your settlement officer will then prorate the sewer bill between you and the purchaser and return to you any monies which you have paid in advance of the date of settlement.

When you call to request a Letter of Sewer Certification, be sure to have the name of the purchaser and the date of settlement available.

Sewer Fees

Municipal Sewer serves the major portions of Township.  The cost for public sewer is  $204 per year, billed semiannually on March 1st and September 1st.  Contact Caroline Partridge at 610-363-9525 x308 to discuss your bill.

A tapping fee is imposed upon connection.
