click hereThe West Whiteland Township Board of Supervisors
announces two available professional employment
opportunities. One is for the professional position
of Township Manager. The other is to fill the vacant
position of Finance Director. With the tremendous
growth that is occurring in West Whiteland Township,
the Board of Supervisors is anxious to fill both
positions promptly, but will proceed with a
wide-spread recruiting effort and a deliberate
process to find a range of knowledgeable and
qualified candidates. Local Government Management
Services, LLC of North Wales PA has been retained to
assist the township in recruiting and selecting a
both a new manager and a finance director.

Township Manager.
Expected salary range is $105,000 to $125,000.
Requires a minimum bachelors degree in public or
business administration, or related field and 5
years experience in local government administration
with demonstrated supervisory experience. A masters
degree is preferred. Experience in growth
communities is also desired including work in the
field of planning and zoning, as well as general
government administration. This position will be
responsible for handling all day to day operations
of the township. The Board is seeking a high-energy
performer for this critical and challenging
position. Knowledge of Pennsylvania municipal
government operations and rules strongly desired.
Finance Director.
Expected salary range is $75,000 to $85,000.
Requires a minimum bachelors degree in finance,
accounting, or related field. A certification as a
CPFO (certified public finance officer) or CPA
(certified public accountant) is desired. Municipal
experience is highly preferred along with
demonstrated supervisory experience in a similar
sized organization. Knowledge and experience in
contract management as it pertains to financial
matters is also desired. This position will report
directly to the township manager and will be
responsible for all financial and accounting matters
of the township including budget preparation and
administration, payroll, and all major human
resource functions including labor relations and
benefits administration. Seeking strong
interpersonal and technical skills, including a
working knowledge of the requirements of GASB 34 &
45. Familiarity with municipal finance software
required. Applicants will need to demonstrate their
ability to optimize the use of the township’s
financial software to prepare balanced and
reconciled financial statements, monthly treasurer’s
reports, budget preparation and administration, and
financial analysis. The township currently uses
Munis software.
The township has a $28 million budget (all funds)
