Since sewer bills are being mailed semi-annually, the probability that your account is paid in advance of the date of your settlement is very real. Based upon the Sewer Verification, your settlement officer will then prorate the sewer bill between you and the purchaser and return to you any monies which you have paid in advance of the date of settlement.

When you call to request a Letter of Sewer Verification, be sure to have the name of the purchaser and the date of settlement available.
